How to Request Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data through either of the following two methods:

Method 1: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the Anant mobile application on your Android device.
- Tap the Profile (प्रोफ़ाइल) tab on the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll down to the Account & Security (खाता सुरक्षा) section.
- Tap the red "Delete Account" (खाता हटाएं) button.
- Review the confirmation prompt and tap "Permanently Delete".
⚡ Effect: In-app deletion executes immediately in real-time, removing all account records from our live databases instantly.

Method 2: Email Deletion Request (Web Support)
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your device, you can request total data erasure via email:

🕒 Processing Time: Email deletion requests are processed manually by our engineering team within 24 to 48 hours.
Data Handling Breakdown: What is Deleted vs. Kept
✕ Types of Data Permanently Deleted
- • User Identifiers: Registered email address, mobile phone number, and Google OAuth UID.
- • Authentication Tokens: Active sessions, JWT access tokens, password hashes, and 2FA credentials.
- • Reading History & Progress: Bookmarks, favorite verses, and reading progress records.
- • Devotional Activity: Japa chanting counters and recitation counters.
- • User Profile: Display name, profile avatar photo, and spiritual profile preferences.
ℹ Data Retention Period & Exceptions
- • Retention Period: Zero (0) days for personal data. All user identity records are wiped completely upon confirmation.
- • Location Data: Not applicable (Anant never stores or logs user GPS coordinates on any backend server).
- • Aggregated Diagnostics: Fully anonymized crash metrics (with no personal identifiers) may be kept strictly for app stability.
